Great little place, still has the same decor as the previous place which is 50's style diner. Cool collection of vintage-esque pictures and advertisements too! There are three options of breakfast cuisine here: American, Filipino and Mexican. Prices are very fair and portions are large. Even when I get a two egg combo which includes hash browns and your choice of either toast or 2 buttermilk pancakes - I STILL have a little left over (I usually box it & bring it to the pup b/c I hate wasting food). I've had the pancakes a few times and they are AWESOME. To borrow and paraphrase a line from 'Odd Thomas' the pancakes are so fluffy and light that they almost float right off your plate. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the biscuits and gravy. Something seems to be missing in the gravy... still pretty decent though. Filipino breakfast... boy oh boy. Being part Filipino, I tend to believe that 'Nothing's as good as (insert family member) makes' but their Longanisa is pretty frickin' on point!

Just had the worst dining experience. If you're in Tinley, DO NOT EAT HERE! We sat for 45 minutes waiting for our food even though our food was waiting in the window for about 20 minutes. The restaurant was not busy at all, the wait staff was more concerned with watching tv than actually serving their guests. When we finally got our food my omelette was sitting in a pool of grease, the potatoes were incredibly dry, Lexi's burger tasted like cardboard, and the only thing Robert liked was his toast. I had them take my food back and removed from the bill and it still cost $24!!! No manager on duty which is probably the reason this restaurant will go under. If the owner/manager doesn't care enough to run the restaurant then it is doomed to fail! Never going back here!

The good news, this is a nice little dinner styled like they did in the 50's. music is playing, but not loud, just background. Food is of good quality. Variety is nice. I'm white and my fiance is filipino. We go here so she can get her fish breakfast and I can get my biscuits and gravey, or an omlete. The bad. Staff. They have good personality, but are unprofesional. Always seems like this place is understaffed or these people just don't do their job well. Always dirty dishes and tables everywhere. And service is slow. Don't expect to be in and out quickly. I come back solely because of the 3 nationality foods offered. It's a nice unique dinner. Just improve the staff quality and this could be a 4 star rating.

Today I was sorely disappointed with my experience here. The ladies are great as always however the new cook they have needs a lot of work. I order basically a Denver omelet and since I've given up pork for lent, I ask for turkey sausage. We wait and wait and 40 minutes later we finally get our food. I look at my omelet like where is the cheese???? The waitress took the food back to the cook and hes like there's cheese in it. So I pick thru it and get to the middle and there is a little cheese and I mean a little. What I though was turkey sausage because I had the exact same thing last week looked and tasted like ground beef, so again the waitress asks him if he used turkey and he says yes, I don't think so. I hope they get it together as we LOVE comimg here but if next week isnt better we will take our money somewhere else. As I'm typing this, another customer complained that their food wasn't good:( please bring the old cook back or train this one too cook food quickly and that actually tastes good and that I dont have to wait 40 minutes for.

This was the worst breakfast I've ever eaten out. The wait staff was great; however, that doesn't make the food taste better. Don't waste your money when you can cook a better breakfast at home. The only reason we came here was because Egg Headz was crazy busy.

Concept of menu was cool. Execution of food has room for improvement. The lack of concern for hair in your food is remarkably incredible. When paying for the bill and they ask about the service, the topic of hair came up and it was treated as nothing.

breakfastrules.blogspot.… We're recommending the International Breakfast Cafe. It's a nice, clean, bright place with a comfortable breakfast atmosphere. The food is pretty good too. The omelette was nothing spectacular but there was nothing wrong with it. The pancakes past the test. My longanisa sausage was a succulent success; I highly recommend you get a side of it instead of ham or bacon, which you can get anywhere. And that's what's good about International Breakfast Cafe, the menu actually makes sense and doesn't over-reach. There are three styles of breakfast foods to chose from that the staff knows and the cook can make it accurately. It's not like trying to get Greek salad from a German restaurant. If you're order right, you'll get a breakfast experience that is both mainstream and adventurous. Despite the unusual timing of our breakfast deliveries--we're chalking that up to a relatively new waitstaff and not having a big enough pick up counter--the service was good and our waitress got a fat tip. The International Breakfast Cafe gets a strong 3.5 smeary Brent faces.

Five stars- the food is very good hot fresh and fast. The service is very friendly and helpful with any questions about the menu. Lilly was my waitress and she was sweet and always had a smile on her face.

Super cute cafe, super tasty food. My husband and I went for breakfast over the weekend on a whim, and we may have discovered our new favorite breakfast spot in the area. Let's start with the bad first and get that out of the way: the service. It wasn't tragic or anything and I've definitely experienced worse, but our server, while really sweet, was a bit forgetful and seemed somewhat overwhelmed. She forgot our water (that we had to ask for) and forgot the side items we ordered. Now on to the awesome: the food. Wow, we were impressed. The menu offers Mexican, Filipino, and traditional American dishes. I ordered the Mexican skillet with pancakes (comes with) and my husband had the breakfast quesadillas that came with rice and refried beans. We both ordered a torta on the side since we wanted to try something from the Filipino menu. Does it sound like we ordered a lot of food? Because we did. Huge portions...good thing we like left overs! Everything was piping hot and fresh. The skillet was really flavorful and not of the throw-a-bunch-of-jalepenos-in-it-and-call-it-Mexican variety. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. The rice was really good and I don't normally even like rice. Can't think of anything we didn't like food-wise. We'll definitely be back.

Four stars because it is a unique, non-chain, delicious restaurant. I came with BF and we both had a selection from the Filipino breakfast menu. I have never had Filipino breakfast before, and I regret that because it was DELICIOUS. BF had longanisa, which is sweet sausage. We both really liked that. My favorite thing was the Tocino, a sweet cured pork. It melted in my mouth as I ate it. It was totally different than any other bacon-like thing I've had before. We got some kind of chocolate rice pudding type thing at the end of our meal which was just ok. Very reasonably priced. The service was below average. The waitress could not explain anything on the menu, and did not know which dish was which when she delivered our food. She was nice, just a little clueless. I'll be back.

My husband and I love going here for brunch on a weekend! We love Filipino food and their Filipino breakfasts are pretty standard in price ($9-$11/entree); however it is worth the price because it includes an Arroz Caldo soup and Champorado bowl. They are soooo good and the best I've had! The service is also quick and friendly. They haven't made any errors on our orders nor seem rude at all. We like to sit in the bar area. The place is fairly clean but it isn't big; however, it doesn't seem to get too busy and there are always seats available - even on the weekends. I don't think a lot of people are aware this place even exists. I think they need to advertise more because it's a shame that such a great and unique cafe that celebrates American, Mexican, and Filipino dishes in ONE place does not get noticed. I'm thinking it could possibly be the location too. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a Filipino/Mexican fusion! However, if you have more than a party of 6, I wouldn't recommend this place because it is quite small and they would have to inconveniently add a table to your booth since there's not a lot of tables or space in there. It's good for an early breakfast or brunch date with no wait time.

Upon entering this establishment you may feel a sense of uncertainty, as we did. I read the previous reviews and wasn't sure what to think, but I'm glad I went in to form my own opinion. Here's my story... The decor is a real cute diner vibe, which appears to be leftover from the previous restaurant. A couple pictures were crooked which bugged me to the max, but overall it's a cute little place. The booths are a little tight, at least the one we sat in, as the table was pretty close to the booths. So not totally comfortable, but not horrible. I think they're looking to hire more help which was noticeably needed. The whole place, which is small anyways, had only 2 waitresses and a girl behind the counter functioning as hostess and waitress. Though our waitress was forgetful, she was a doll! You've probably noticed there are a few things I feel this establishment needs to work on, however I've rated them with 4 stars. Scratching your heads on that one, guys? Well, the food here far surpassed our expectations. That's the reason I'll be coming back to eat here... The coffee was a tad weak, but I'm a strong coffee kind of girl (and my allergies were raging during my visit so my nose wasn't working adequately). The water was good too, but hell you can't really mess that up can you?! I ordered the Denver omelet with sausage instead of ham which came with diced potatoes and pancakes. Yumm! The omelet was deliciously huge! I can usually polish off a plate of hash browns and an omelet, but not at this place! (It was nice to take home leftovers anyways...) The diced potato hash brown things were soooo good, next time I might just ask for a plate of that! Juuuust kidding! The pancakes were great with a nice taste of vanilla, although they could be a bit fluffier. My boyfriend ordered the Mexican omelet with the same sides as me, he loved it all!! My mom ordered one of the Mexican breakfast items; chips in a red sauce with eggs on top and a side of rice and beans. My boyfriend practically jumped on the other side of the table when it came out... He was a bit jealous he didn't order that! She let us try it; it was all fantastic!! Definitely give this place a try, it may just surprise you...

Best breakfast in Tinley, so glad they opened here, went last Saturday after my son's Hockey game and left very satisfied, I had the Banana Pancakes with warm syrup and a tasty omellette, both were cooked perfect, great service too, Noticed they had Filipino breakfast on the menu too, I'll have to try that some time, Can't wait to go back.

It's just ok. We think that we are the first people here this morning and its 8am. Hash browns had little flavor. But the corned beef hash was good.

Really cute place to have breakfast! Their pancakes are probably the best I've ever had! My husband had eggs, pancakes, sausage & hash browns & not a crumb was left! Staff is very friendly! Will definitely visit again to try the Mexican breakfast!

Good but still new. The "regular" breakfast food is OK. The Mexican based is very good. Also Pilipino food is offered. Worth a return

This is a really cool concept, I had the sweet philp sausage and garlic rice. There are several other items on the Philp menu I want to try. The server was awesome, reasonably priced and the chocolate rice pudding and some kind of ginger rice soup is delish.

Came here for breakfast on friday morning and was not impressed at all. I don't know about all the other reviews but this place has some of the worst food i have had in a very long time... I ordered a denver omelette with cheese, they forgot the cheese the vegetables were not even cooked at all they were still crunchy and raw the hashbrowns were dry and hard like they sitting around for hours. Seems like who ever owns it doesn't care about the quality of the food that his employees give to tthe customers.. It's not always about price and quantity its also about quality of the food that matters the most at least to me.. won't see me again!!

Had chilaquiles here and the tortilla chips were ridiculously soggy, as if the whole dish had been sitting out for some time. Tried some against all of my better instincts and spent the next three hours puking. Can't speak for any of the other food but hoo boy was this not great. They're only open on weekends now and I can see why. If you go here (which I don't recommend) maybe stick to the Filipino side of the menu

If you're seeking traditional American breakfast, go elsewhere: you won't like it. If you're seeking non-traditional w/international flare, it's okay. The service was friendly and fast. The prices are typical for breakfast. Small yet clean space. I gave it three stars due to the friendliness and clean atmosphere. I didn't really care for the Filipino style breakfast offerings. You have to have developed a taste for the food. It did appear fresh.
